The Output Transformer is, without doubt, the single most important component in any high quality valve amplifier. It is impossible to make a truly exceptional amplifier without investing in the best possible Output Transformer, which in turn must be correctly designed for the circuit and valves being used. Many theoretically decent amplifiers are completely ruined because of the manufacturer's failure to spend money and time on this most important of components. Even our most cost effective amplifiers feature output transformers that are highly over-specified, and designed purely to work in the particular circuit.
